The 4S-40A battery management controller (BMS) board for screwdriver batteries with a 16.8V battery is designed to monitor four high-current lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries connected in series. The device features overload (short circuit), deep discharge, and overcharge protection, and also balances the batteries over one or more charge cycles depending on their initial charge level.

The board is suitable for repairing/replacing cordless drills from Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, Metabo, and other brands with a suitable battery form factor (4S). This controller can also be used as a standalone module in other battery charge control circuits with similar characteristics.

Caution! Observe the correct polarity and connection of the balancing wires when connecting the battery compartment; otherwise, the device will fail due to overheating.
